Measurement system Metric or imperial

Measurement system affects how lengths and areas are shown to you, and is the default when you generate a report. It is a personal setting rather than a project one, so someone else in the same project can be working in different units.

Language

Your interface language is yours alone. Two people can use the same project in different languages.

Two things it does not control:

  • Observation Profile fields, which come from the profile and appear in the languages it defines.
  • Report language, which you choose when generating. You can work in one language and issue the report in another.

3D settings are not saved

Brightness, quality, the left-mouse-button behaviour and fly-to-selection all live in the 3D Settings panel. They last only for the session. Reopen the project and they are back to their defaults.

These settings are per-session, and they never affect anyone else.

The exceptions are the few things explicitly shared, such as Save for all users on the clipping box. Those say so on the button.

Panel sizes

Dragging a panel's edge to resize it is remembered on the right-hand detail panels, but not on the left. So the left panel returns to its default width next time.
