Signing in and finding your way around
Sign in and you land on Projects, in the organisation and workspace you were last in. That includes one you reached by opening a project from a link. New to Twinsity? See Creating your account.
The left rail

You only see what your role allows. A rail with fewer entries than a colleague's is expected.
Organisation and workspace
At the top is the picker showing where you are. Projects, profiles and members all belong to the workspace you are in.
Long organisation and workspace names wrap onto two lines. Hover a name to see it in full.
Your organisations and demo organisations
If your picker has a Demo organisations section, your own organisations are listed above it under Your organisations. Demo organisations hold sample projects that anyone signed in can open, and nothing changed in them is kept. See Trying Twinsity in a demo project.
A demo project opened from a link is shown for that browser tab only: Twinsity opens in your own organisation again next time. To open in the demo organisation instead, switch to it in the picker.
A short project list usually means you are in the wrong workspace. It is the first thing to check.
Browsing versus switching
The picker does two different things:
- Browsing: clicking an organisation on the left shows its workspaces. Nothing changes yet.
- Switching: choosing one. Now the rest of the app follows.
So opening the picker and closing it again leaves you where you were, even though you have been reading another workspace's name. Look at what the picker shows when closed to know where you actually are.
Opening a project
Click it for its details, or the cube button at the end of its row (Open in 3D) to go straight to the model. Inside a project the layout changes: the rail gives way to the inspect view, with a mode picker in the header for Inspect, AI Review and Report.
Leave a project the way you came in, via the header.
Your account
Top right, under your name: language, measurement system, and signing out. See Managing your account and preferences.
Why does my colleague see something I do not?

| A shorter project list | Different workspace, or you have access to fewer projects. |
| No Organisation entry | You are not an organisation administrator. |
| A project link that will not open | You have not been given access to that project. |
| Twinsity opened in my own organisation, not the demo one | A demo project opened from a link lasts for that browser tab. Switch to the demo organisation in the picker to open there next time. |
